Dear Shiitake Log

How exciting for me. When I inoculated you and left you under the Norway Maple I wasn’t sure what would happen. You have served so well for a few years now. I’m not sure if that’s what’s supposed to happen. Today, when wanting to add dried shiitake into my bone broth, I went to the drawer and there you were! Mushrooms that I harvested from the log last fall and dried and stored in a bag. First time ever having my own dried shiitake. I trust your healing powers and am thrilled that I grew my own! Will you have more this year?
